Your Future Chiropractor
Lauren Shaffer
We asked Lauren what she loves most about chiropractic, her response was “I love that chiropractic gives us an opportunity to serve people in such a personal way and to be a small part of their healing journey.
Lauren graduated from Parker University in 2026 after a long journey that shifted her path from college athlete prospect to chiropractor. At the age of 17, she was in a severe car accident that resulted in injuries and pain that two years of orthopedic care and physical therapy couldn’t put a dent in. Eventually the orthopedic surgeon recommended chiropractic. After six months of chiropractic care she finally found freedom from pain! She describes how she “saw firsthand the incredible things God can do through chiropractic care, not only physically but emotionally too.” That experience resultantly planted the desire in her heart to provide that same kind of loving care to others.
Lauren loves getting to know patients, hearing their stories, and being able to encourage them along the way.” When you meet her, you will feel the truth in that; she has a warmth in her hands and a genuine care for the well-being of others in her heart. We can’t wait for you to experience her love language through HUGS and acts of service!
Lauren is awaiting licensure in Texas and will be serving as a Prevention and Recovery Specialist in the interim. She is eager to pour out her love and skills so we organized an opportunity for her to help us serve and develop our Prevention and Recovery services. Once her chiropractic license is active, she will switch rooms and roles and continue the out-pouring.
In case you are from Wyoming, you will find you have common roots with Lauren. She was raised there and graduated from Casper College before moving to Texas and attending Parker for her doctorate. She tells amazing stories of God’s love in her relationships with her mom and dad as well as her three adorable nephews. In 2022, she added another love of her life when she was introduced to her now husband by the mail carrier.
She and her husband, Gage, live in Ennis where they enjoy the quiet of nature and nurturing the future of their family. They worship and edify at Cowboy Church of Ellis County. Lauren speaks the language of claw clips, turquoise, and HEB fluently. We are overflowing with joy that she chose Halcyon Village as her home!
